For some of our customers, a perfect summer vacation would be getting away from the hectic demands of the "real" world and spending some calm, quality time in the garage (preferably air-conditioned!) with a classic BMW that just needs a small amount of mechanical rehabilitation to be able to reclaim its past glories. If you're that kind of person, This R1150RT PROJECT BIKE is the right bike for you. Learn more right now by calling 1-888-269-2627 to speak with one of our Certified Sales Advisors — Jim, Yale, Austin, or Todd. Call TODAY!

As with all PROJECT BIKES we want buyers to know as much as possible about the bike before making a purchase. We’ve nothing to hide and our only goal is that each new owner feels they paid fairly and got good VALUE. We encourage you to call, schedule a time to meet with one of our sales advisors, and inspect the machine in person to fully understand all the positives as well as the potential downsides involved in the refurbishing process. Let's get you started with a quick overview of this respectable motorcycle. The best news is that it starts, idles, and runs well! The immediate challenge, however, is that the ABS unit is not working. The brakes still function well under normal operation — just without the benefit of ABS. We did not do a complete diagnosis on what could be causing the ABS problem (the warning light on the dash is illuminated), nor did we run a full diagnostic review or Maryland Safety Inspection on this bike. It's a PROJECT BIKE, sold as is.

The cosmetic picture is a pretty good one. For its 63 thousand joyful miles, this bike is clean! Overall the paint is in good shape, though not perfect, of course — you'll see a few nominal nicks and scratches; nothing very serious. But it's got some nice custom pinstriping added for a little style. Other EXTRAS include a Z-Techink V-Stream windshield, a versatile RAM-Mount device holder on the handlebar, BMW System Side Cases and 33 liter Top Case, Valve Cover Guards, and some Auxiliary Driving Lights tucked in under the front fairing. The most notable cosmetic flaw is on the fairing's right side down near the engine. There you'll find an area where excessive heat has done some damage to the paint. This was a common problem on the faired bikes of this era, and its only consequence was to the appearance. The tires still have a lot of tread but they are quite old and we recommend replacing them.

All in all, this is a PROJECT BIKE that, with relatively little work, can be restored to greatness. And think how PROUD you'll be!
